Margaret Porter

After gaining a degree in Social Sciences in Australia Margaret was admitted as a Solicitor in 1979. Apart from a sojourn in the West End doing property law the rest of her career has involved Family Law either as part of a general practice or exclusively.

Since 1990 Margaret has been a Family Lawyer with Pellys becoming a partner in 1997. Margaret has trained as a mediator, gained a Diploma in Child Protection from Kings College London and is a Trustee of the Herts & Essex Mediation Service. With that background it was a natural progression to train as a Collaborative Lawyer which she has done so that she can fuel her passion to help separating couples and their families deal with relationship breakdown with dignity and enable them to reconstruct their lives and ongoing relationships in a positive way.
